Having a good relationship with your parent(s) is a great goal to have, but it can be hard when it feels like they're not working with you to get there. Of course there are foundations on which a good relationship is built on --like respect, two-way communication, and patience-- but sometimes it feels like there are more steps than that.
Any tips on having a better relationship with parents?
P.S.
Some parents aren't interested in a relationship with their children, so it can feel impossible. But don't give up hope! Continue to treat them with kindness (even if it isn't reciprocated) and pray for your relationship to become stronger, and watch God work.
